A harp combined with a Female DJ, that’s something different for a change! Harpist Emilie fell in love with the sound of the instrument when she was four years old and she then started with harp lessons at the local school of music in ’s-Hertogenbosch. At the age of 13 she was admitted to the ‘Jong Talent Klas’ (Young Talent Class) at Fontys Conservatory in Tilburg under professional guidance of Ernestine Stoop. One and a half years later she transfered to the School for Young Talent at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague. Here she obtained her Bachelor in 2012 and in 2014 her paper for Master of Music.
Emilie has got a lot of experience as soloist but also frequently plays in several chamber music ensembles. She is steady member of harp duo DuoDyade. Emilie is an active musician and likes to stay on top of recent developments concerning her instrument. In 2017 she lectured during the 13th World Harp Congres in Hong Kong. The lecture was about the use of personal styles in teaching music.
